Terms and conditions of online sale of Bus tickets

These terms and conditions shall apply for the online sale of tickets on the ticket shop of Croatia bus croatiabus.getbybus.com. The terms shall be an integral part of the applicable version of the General Terms and Conditions of Transport by Croatia bus d.d. (See terms here) The General Terms and Conditions of Transport shall only be valid if not otherwise provided in the following provisions.
2. Online purchase of tickets
You can buy a ticket online at https://croatiabus.getbybus.com. To buy a ticket you will need to create an account by using a valid E-mail and a password of your choice; alternatively the account creation may be done using Google+.
Once the purchase is completed you will receive the online ticket delivered to the e-mail used when purchasing the ticket, the ticket will also be downloadable under "my tickets" at the top right corner of our ticket shop. Unless it is specifically stated that you have purchased an E-ticket, you need to print this ticket.
3. Conclusion of agreement
3.1 As with all offers available for online purchase, the agreement is finalised when a receipt on successful purchase is delivered by e-mail. To successfully complete the purchase, you have to first complete the payment module. If electronic payment is not effected, the purchase will be deleted.
3.2 Once the purchaser buys a ticket at the ticket shop of Croatia bus d.d. - purchaser will immediately receive an e-mail with the ticket. The ticket is send to the E-mail address use to sign in to https://croatiabus.getbybus.com.
3.2.1. When entering the vehicle you have to present the printed ticket or the E-ticket to the staff including a document proving the identity of the passenger names on the ticket . In general, Online ticket is a valid travelling document only in printed form; exception to this are tickets bought as E-ticket . If a passenger chooses a discount when buying a ticket online, he/she shall prove that he/she belongs to the chosen category of discount upon entering the vehicle. Failing to do so, the passenger shall make an additional payment to the driver so as to pay the full ticket price or the ticket shall be considered invalid and any right to a refund shall be lost.
184.108.40.206. As proof of discounts, students have to show to the bus staff their student’s record book in which it is indicated that the student has enrolled for the current semester. The unemployed have to show to the bus staff their unemployment record from the Employment Bureau or another valid document.
3.3. Having purchased a ticket, the Customer accepts that minor changes in the timetable, e.g. in cases of delays due to traffic or other circumstances not caused by negligence of the carrier, might occur. In case of late departure or full bus, the carrier might re-book customer to a later departure if such is available within a reasonable time frame from the original scheduled departure time.
3.4. In case of a planned or necessary timetable change, Croatia Bus will inform the Customer via the E-mail provided by the ticket purchase. It is the obligation of the Customer to check the E-mail 12 hours prior to the departure, to check whether there are any announced changes in the timetable.
3.5. Purchasing a ticket for a bus route including one or more border crossings, customer is obligated to bring a valid passport.
3.6. Return tickets - return tickets of the following types might be available:
3.6.1. Regular return tickets with a fixed date for the return drive. Return ticket can be downloaded from the “My ticket” area on croatiabus.getbybus.com
3.6.2. Open return; this ticket has an open date for the return drive. Validity of the open return ticket may vary, and typically it has a length of 60-90 days.
3.6.3. To use an open return ticket, the Customer has to login to “My tickets” at croatiabus.getbybus.com and pick a date and time for the return journey, once this is done the return has to be downloaded and printed. One copy of the “Open” return ticket is handed to the driver upon entering the bus.
4. Sale deadlines
As a general rule, tickets can be bought via https://croatiabus.getbybus.com from the moment an appropriate timetable becomes valid until no later than 12 hours before the trip starts in case of printable online ticket, and no later than 2 hours before the trip in case of an E-ticket.
5. Refund and cancelation of tickets purchased online
If you cancel the online ticket you purchased no later than 24 hours before the trip, the carrier will refund the money, i.e. repay the amount minus 25 per cent.
If you cancel the online ticket you purchased no later than 12 hours before the trip, the carrier will refund the money, i.e. repay the amount minus 50 per cent.
If the passenger neither uses his/her ticket on the date of travel, nor cancels it within the provided minimum deadlines, thereby losing the right to a partial refund, the carrier shall not accept the refund request.
All requests shall be submitted in writing, exclusively by e-mail, for the purpose of recording the exact time of cancellation or trip changes. E-mail address for complaints: email@example.com
6. Re-Book procedure
Passengers have the right to change dates on their tickets (if the schedule contains the existing line) if there is enough space on the bus for the chosen date and if they previously make contact (via e-mail or contact form) at least 24 hours prior to the departure time indicated on the ticket in the national bus transport and at least 48 hours prior to the departure time indicated on the ticket in the international bus transport. In cases of domestic transport it is possible to change also the time of departure while in the international transport it is possible to change only the travel date.
Passengers are entitled to only one change of the reservation.
7. Payment procedure
Provisions given under Mode of payments on our website are valid.

Personal data from the order are collected, processed and used in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws of the Republic of Croatia. More information can be found here.
Due to varying technical aspects of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that all purchase modules on https://croatiabus.getbybus.com will be available at all times. If a particular clause is or becomes invalid, this shall not affect other clauses. The applicable law shall be the law of the Republic of Croatia. The court having jurisdiction and the venue for handling all requests shall be the competent court of the Republic of Croatia.
